Guidelines for Quality and Accreditation Committee
FIRAT UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF THEOLOGY QUALITY AND ACCREDITATION COMMITTEE WORKING PROCEDURES AND PRINCIPLES
Purpose
ARTICLE-1
The purpose of these working procedures and principles is to determine the working procedures and principles of the Fırat University Faculty of Theology Quality and Accreditation Committee.
Scope
ARTICLE-2
These procedures and principles cover the formation, operation, duties and responsibilities, authorities, decision-making, implementation, and follow-up of the Quality and Accreditation Committee of the Faculty of Theology at Fırat University.
Basis
ARTICLE-3
These procedures and principles have been prepared in accordance with the Higher Education Law No. 2547, the Higher Education Quality Assurance Regulation, and the Fırat University Quality Assurance System Directive.
Definitions
ARTICLE-4
In the application of these working principles;
a) Accreditation: Refers to the evaluation process conducted by an external evaluator institution to determine whether predefined academic and field-specific standards in a particular area are met by an accreditation body (Theology Accreditation Agency-IAA).
b) External Evaluation: Refers to the external evaluation process conducted by external evaluators authorized by the Higher Education Quality Council or by external evaluation organizations recognized by the Higher Education Council and possessing an independent quality evaluation registration certificate, which assesses the quality of the educational programs, teaching and research activities, and administrative services within the faculty.
c) External Evaluation Agency (Theology Accreditation Agency-IAA): Refers to the accreditation oversight agency that evaluates and monitors undergraduate and graduate theology education programs in accordance with continuously developed standards.
d) External Evaluators: Refers to individuals appointed by an accreditation umbrella organization who decide whether programs applying for accreditation will be evaluated and who are competent to conduct the external evaluation process.
e) Accreditation Certificate: Refers to the document indicating that the institution is accredited as a result of the accreditation process being evaluated by the external evaluation organization.
f) Accreditation Committee: Refers to the Fırat University Faculty of Theology Quality and Accreditation Committee, which is responsible for organizing and conducting accreditation activities.
g) Chair: Refers to the chair of the Fırat University Faculty of Theology Quality and Accreditation Committee.
h) Vice Chair: Refers to the vice chair of the Fırat University Faculty of Theology Quality and Accreditation Committee.
ı) Rapporteur: Refers to the rapporteur of the Fırat University Faculty of Theology Quality and Accreditation Committee.
i) Members: Refers to the members of the Fırat University Faculty of Theology Quality and Accreditation Committee.
j) Faculty: Refers to the Fırat University Faculty of Theology.
k) Dean's Office: Refers to the Dean's Office of the Fırat University Faculty of Theology.
